Plastfree Period Partner in India

Young women living in bustees (slum) in Kolkata have a reason to feel less ashamed and worried during periods. We have partnered with Calcutta Rescue to donate and distribute to 130 youngsters who are being educated by the charity.

We have also commissioned the NGO’s Fairtrade handicraft project team to design and create embroidered pouches for the pads which will go on sale soon. These pouches will be included in the FIRST PERIOD kit for young girls too!

I wanted to support the women and girls from where I am from-Kolkata & Calcutta Rescue was the perfect charity partner to uplift the living standards in slums and generate employment by making the pouches – Anushka
